Lately, one of the most popular choices has been the so called thermochromic ink. Thermochromic inks come in different colours, have different activating temperatures and reactions. They can either appear or disappear. It is often used for refrigerated drinks – when the beverage is properly cooled the ink appears. Another common application is to hide an image using a thermochromic ink that activates at body temperature as you will see in the example below.
