Mistakes made during the submission of files, that are suitable for printing, may lead to problems, which is why we are sharing with you a few rules to follow, so that your production is more memorable. Here they are:
- The files should be submitted in vector formats such as AI and PDF, but the AI format is more suitable as the different RIP have different settings.
- If raster images are used, they should be with a high resolution with more than 300dpi, such as JPG, TIFF, and PSD
- Convert the RGB into CMYK regardless of the format of the image.
- If you are using special Pantone colors, the corresponding Pantone number should be indicated in the file.
- All fonts should be converted into curves. You shouldn’t have any texts in raster, especially when there is more than one CMYK color.
- Leave 3 mm bleeding on all sides.
- All objects and special effects should be merged into one layer.
- Don’t place texts and other significant objects closer than 5 mm from the final product size, because deviations in the stage of formatting (binding, cutting, die-cutting, etc.) can lead to unpleasant consequences.
- Set the right format, so you can get the product you want.
- Make sure that the inking of the raster images is under 275%.
